Well I got my pound of Fossilized Walrus ivory. After processing the largest chunk I will likely get 5 saddle blanks from it. I could have probably done better. I got six chunks ranging from 4" long to 7" long. Sizes varies a good bit. Some I will likely get 2 nut blanks from some I may only get one and a couple that I will get 3 or four saddle blanks from. my guess is I Will get about 8 saddle blanks and 6-8 nut blanks from the pound if I am careful in the processing Here is a couple pictures showing the rough. then flattened then a saddle blank and a close up
